APPLICATION REQUIREMENT

FULL UNDERGRADUATE MEMBERSHIP

  • Must be an accounting major

  • Completed ACCT 401 and an additional upper-level ACCT class (400 level or above)

  • At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in all courses attempted

  • At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in all upper division accounting courses attempted

    • This includes all classes ACCT 401 or higher. ACCT 225/226 do not count towards this GPA requirement.

Once above requirements have been met, applicant will be considered for initiation.

ASSOCIATE UNDERGRADUATE MEMBERSHIP

  • Must be an accounting major or planning to declare an accounting major

  • Must have completed both ACCT 225 & ACCT 226

  • At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in all courses attempted

  • At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in ACCT 225 and ACCT 226​

Associate members will have access to all Beta Alpha Psi events, but will not be officially initiated until they complete ACCT 401 and one other upper level accounting course.​ After above requirements have been met and member actively participates in BAP events, member will be considered for full membership.

MACC ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

All University of South Carolina students enrolled in the Master of Accountancy (MACC) Program are eligible for membership as a MACC Associate member upon payment of dues.
